You may remember I did a post on talented multi-media artist, Helen Seiver, a few weeks back and she was in the middle of making a life-size crochet house, inspired by her family forebears, especially the women, who were some of the first settlers in Western Australia …? (You can read about it here). Well, the ‘house’ is finished and looks amazing.
Using found peppermint tree branches, recycled clothing and upcycled domestic materials, the Heartstrings house was a labour of love for Helen but was definitely worth it, don’t you think?
It’s rather like a glamorous, over-sized, see-through play house. I could imagine sitting in it, in a comfy chair, outside, in a wonderful rambling garden. With a cup of tea, of course!
