Guess what type of skin this is made from?

If you guessed salmon, then top marks! Who’d have thought you could upcycle scaly old fish skin into something that looks convincingly like snakeskin?

Well, the Finns did at Thin King who have, up until now, been making card cases out of anodised aluminium. The salmon are raised on certified organic farms and only the highest quality skins are chosen for tanning and dying. Each skin is tanned using 100 per cent chrome-free materials and then stretched and stitched by hand.

But they’re only doing a limited run. Perhaps the salmon caught wind of the idea …
